Spíra welcomes singers of all experiences to join in on the ensemble. Spíra is active during the summer months, and will hold a series of open rehearsals to welcome new members into the ensemble. Open-rehearsal dates will be posted here, and on our Facebook page.

Polaris
Polaris admits new members several times a year, typically in September and January. All singers go through a simple voice placement exercise facilitated by the choir's leadership, where they will be expected to demonstrate singing range and ability, as well as engage in a brief conversation about social justice. Eastern Horizon
Eastern Horizon is a chamber ensemble with limited spots. Auditions are held at an irregular basis when spots become available. The first step to securing an audition is filling out an application of interest. In-person audition times will be offered based on these applications. During the auditions, singers will be expected to demonstrate an experienced level choral and singing knowledge, and a commitment to contemporary performance.
